DEVLIN DEFRANCESCO
DeFrancesco began racing go-karts at the age of 6. While a typical starting age for many racers, Devlin was born 15 weeks prematurely; weighing only one pound and with his eyes fused shut. He overcame doctors’ expectations of not surviving to race multiple series including Italian and British F4, Euroformula, Spanish Formula 3, FIA Formula 3, and GP3. Notable finishes include 3rd overall in the 2017 Euroformula Open and the 2017 Spanish Formula 3 Championship.
In 2020 DeFrancesco transitioned to the Indy Pro 2000 Championship notching two wins and earning the series’ runner-up position. In 2021 he showcased his adaptability in Indy Lights, finishing 6th in the points standings with two podiums and nine top-5 finishes. DeFrancesco made his debut in the NTT INDYCAR Series in 2022. In 2023 DeFrancesco earned a 13th place finish at the Indy 500 and a 5th place qualifying result at Road America.
2022 also saw DeFrancesco dominate in sportscars with the LMP2 class victory in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. His earlier sportscar successes include a 6th place finish in his 2018 debut at Daytona along with a 9th place finish at Petit Le Mans that same year. He also finished 3rd in 2021 at Daytona in LMP2.
DeFrancesco is poised for new challenges, making his GTD debut with Forte Racing in 2024.
