Forte Racing Takes Championship-Leading Momentum to Road America

Harvey/Liddy and Broll Lead Their Classes as Four-Car McLaren Trophy America Program Returns from Summer Break

Monrovia, Calif. (Wednesday, August 26, 2026) – Forte Racing returns to McLaren Trophy America competition this weekend at Road America following an extended summer break, with the team carrying championship-leading momentum into Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2026 season.

Forte Racing enters the weekend with drivers in championship contention across all three categories. Tanner Harvey and Patrick Liddy lead the Pro standings in the No. 24 Cypress Land Company McLaren Artura Trophy Evo, while Kaia Teo sits second and Paul Holton third in Pro aboard the No. 8 Sigma Plastics entry. Cooper Broll leads the Am championship in the No. 100 PiedParker McLaren, and Neil Langberg is second in the Pro-Am Papaya Cup standings with the No. 53 Race for Relapsing Polychondritis entry.

The team returns to competition following a Road Atlanta weekend that saw Harvey and Liddy earn the Race 2 victory, while Teo and Holton scored podium finishes in both races. Broll added a second-place finish in Sunday’s race to help keep the No. 100 atop the Am standings.

No. 24 Cypress Land Company McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro) – Tanner Harvey / Patrick Liddy

Harvey and Liddy arrive at Road America leading the Pro championship and coming off their Race 2 victory at Road Atlanta. Road America also carries special significance for Harvey, who earned a victory at the Wisconsin circuit last season before a heavy qualifying accident brought his weekend to an early end.

The pair participated in a recent Forte Racing test at Road America, giving both drivers an opportunity to prepare for this weekend and continue developing the No. 24 Cypress Land Company entry.

“I’m really excited to be heading back to Road America this weekend with Forte Racing and Patrick Liddy for the next round of McLaren Trophy America,” Harvey said. “We had a really strong test leading into the weekend, and I feel like we made a lot of progress with the car. The pace was there, I felt comfortable straight away, and I think we’re coming into the weekend in a really good position.

“Road America is definitely a meaningful place for me to come back to. Last season, I had one of my best weekends and one of my worst moments at the same track. We won the first race, and then in qualifying for the second race I had my first really big accident, hitting the wall hard and ending the weekend.

“That crash was a big moment for me at the time, but I’ve learned a lot since then. I’ve done a lot more racing, gained more experience in these cars and in GT3 machinery, and I feel like I’m coming back as a much more complete driver.

“That’s why I’ve been calling this my redemption weekend.

“There’s something pretty cool about coming back to a track where you’ve had both a huge high and a huge low. I’m not looking at last year with any fear. If anything, it makes me even more motivated to go back, be fast, and finish what we started.

“Patrick and I have a really strong relationship in the car, Forte has been doing an amazing job, and after the test, I’m feeling confident.

“The goal is simple: go back to Road America, put everything together, and fight for wins.”

Liddy shares Harvey’s confidence heading into the weekend and remains focused on maintaining the consistency that has helped put the pairing at the top of the Pro standings.

“Road America is a track where Tanner and I know we can be competitive, and the test gave us a chance to work through some things before the weekend,” said Liddy. “We’re in a great position in the championship, but there’s still a lot of racing ahead of us. The focus is on executing, maximizing every session and continuing to put ourselves in position to fight for wins.”

No. 8 Sigma Plastics McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro) – Kaia Teo / Paul Holton

Teo and Holton also return to Road America with momentum after podium finishes in both races at Road Atlanta. Teo enters the weekend second in the Pro standings, while Holton sits third despite missing the Miami round earlier this season.
Both drivers took part in the Road America test earlier this month, giving them valuable track time before returning to competition.

“We’ve had a long break since our last race weekend, so I’m really excited to finally get back behind the wheel this weekend at Road America,” said Teo. “We had the opportunity to test here earlier this month, which gave us some valuable time to learn the track and prepare for the weekend. I’m so excited to get back out there with the team and hopefully come away with some strong results!”

Holton echoed Teo’s enthusiasm following the productive test, which allowed the pair to continue developing the No. 8 Sigma Plastics entry ahead of the weekend.

“The test was really valuable for both Kaia and me, especially after having such a long break between race weekends,” said Holton. “We were able to get some good work done with the car and give Kaia more time around Road America. We know we have a competitive package, so now it’s about putting together a clean weekend and maximizing every opportunity.”

No. 100 PiedParker McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Am) – Cooper Broll

For Broll, Road America represents a return to the circuit where he earned his first career race victories last season. The No. 100 PiedParker driver comes into the weekend leading the Am championship and looking to build on a second-place finish in Race 2 at Road Atlanta.

“The summer break has been a long one, so I am looking forward to finally being back in the seat at Road America,” said Broll. “Last year at Road America I achieved my first ever race wins, so I am looking to continue that streak in the upcoming races. With the Forte crew and so much time to prepare, I feel good going into the weekend.”

No. 53 Race for RP McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro-Am) – Neil Langberg / Kevin Madsen

The No. 53 Race for RP entry returns to its regular Langberg/Madsen pairing at Road America after Langberg’s Road Atlanta weekend ended during practice following an accident that caused significant damage to the car.

For Langberg, returning to competition is about more than putting the Road Atlanta setback behind him. It also provides another opportunity to use the team’s racing program to raise awareness and support research into relapsing polychondritis and other autoimmune diseases.

“Hello from Road America, this is Neil/Nigel Langberg, co-driver of the No.53 Race for RP, Forte Racing, McLaren Trophy America car.

“Race car drivers prepare and adapt to race conditions all the time, but sometimes life has other plans. Last time out at Road Atlanta, I was unable to complete two laps of practice before I had an incident which ended with me hitting a wall, incurring major damage, and I was therefore precluded from racing the entire weekend.

“It’s like the work we do for the Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation. We fight to locate and fund research programs, but we never know what the outcomes could be or how long they may take, but the efforts continue for better outcomes. It’s not the days in your life, but the life in your days.

While Langberg looks forward to returning to competition, Madsen credited the Forte Racing crew for the work required to get the No. 53 back on track following Road Atlanta.

“The team has put in a tremendous amount of work getting the 53-car ready for our next round of McLaren Trophy action, and I’m incredibly thankful for everyone’s effort,” said Madsen. “Neil has been putting in a lot of quality, deliberate practice on the sim, so now it’s time to go put it all together at Road America. We’re headed to cheese country to slice through the field, have some fun, hopefully bring home some hardware, and most importantly continue raising awareness for relapsing polychondritis.”

Forte Team Management

With Forte Racing leading the championship in both the Pro and Am categories and drivers in contention throughout the team’s four-car program, the focus heading into Road America remains on maximizing each opportunity as the 2026 McLaren Trophy America season enters its second half.

“It’s been a long break, and I know everyone on the crew is ready to get back to racing,” said Team Manager David Cozart. “We had a very productive test at Road America earlier this month with two of our cars and came away with some good information. The team has used the time between races well, and I think we’re heading into the weekend prepared and ready to compete.”

Team Principal Shane Seneviratne is equally eager to see the four-car program return to competition after the extended break.

“It’s great to finally have everyone back together and get back to racing,” said Seneviratne. “We’re in a strong position across all three classes, but there’s still a lot of work ahead of us. Road America has been good to this team in the past, and I’m proud of the work everyone has put in during the break. Our goal is to execute, fight for wins and continue building on what we’ve accomplished so far this season.”

Located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, Road America is one of North America’s most historic and challenging road courses. The approximately four-mile, 14-turn circuit is known for its high speeds, long straights, significant elevation changes and heavy braking zones that provide multiple opportunities for passing.

The circuit has also been a successful venue for several members of Forte Racing’s current lineup. Harvey and Broll both earned victories at Road America during the inaugural 2025 McLaren Trophy America season, with Broll scoring the first race wins of his career at the Wisconsin circuit.

McLaren Trophy America will contest Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2026 championship during the August 28-30 Road America weekend. Race 1 is scheduled for Saturday, August 29 at 3:10 p.m. CT, with Race 2 set for Sunday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. CT.
