Forte Racing Caps 2026 McLaren Trophy America Season with Three Championships

Harvey / Liddy Claim Pro Title, Broll Secures Am Championship and Forte Racing Wins Team Title

Monrovia, Calif. (Tuesday, October 13, 2026) – Forte Racing capped an exceptional 2026 McLaren Trophy America season by claiming three of the five championships it contested, including the Pro Drivers’ Championship, Am Drivers’ Championship and Team Championship, following a dramatic three-race finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Cooper Broll set the tone for Forte Racing’s championship-winning weekend by clinching the McLaren Trophy America Am Championship on the opening day of competition with a class victory in Wednesday’s Miami make-up race. Tanner Harvey and Patrick Liddy followed by securing the Pro Championship in the No. 24 Cypress Land Company entry during Friday’s final race, while Forte Racing capped off an exceptional season by claiming the Team Championship with a 15-point advantage over RWE Motorsport.

The Indianapolis finale also brought strong performances from the team’s other entries. Kaia Teo completed the season third in the Pro drivers’ standings in the No. 8 Sigma Plastics McLaren, while the No. 53 Race for RP program earned a double podium Thursday and an impressive second-place overall finish Friday. The results capped a successful second season in McLaren Trophy America for Forte Racing, with all four entries contributing to the team’s accomplishments throughout the year.

No. 100 PiedParker McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Am) – Cooper Broll – Am Champion

Broll wasted little time securing the Am championship at Indianapolis, taking the class victory in Wednesday’s Miami make-up race to clinch the title with two races still remaining. The victory capped a dominant season for the No. 100 PiedParker driver, who entered the finale leading the championship following multiple victories and podium finishes throughout the year.

With the championship already secured, Broll was able to approach the final two races without the pressure of the points battle, celebrating a successful season that contributed to Forte Racing’s three championship titles.

Cooper Broll: “Incredible weekend at Indy. It still doesn’t quite feel real to be the Am class champion. The win in the Miami make-up race clinched the championship, making both Indy races simply fun ones. Forte not only won the Am class, but the Pro class and Team Championship, which shows how incredible of a team they are. Thank you to the Forte crew for this entire season. I couldn’t be happier with the results.”

No. 24 Cypress Land Company McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro) – Tanner Harvey / Patrick Liddy – Pro Champions

Harvey and Liddy entered Indianapolis with a narrow Pro championship lead and three races standing between them and the title. The pair opened the finale with a second-place overall finish in Wednesday’s Miami make-up race, followed by third in Pro Thursday. They closed the season with another podium Friday, finishing third overall and second in the Pro class points.

The championship battle remained undecided following the checkered flag, with confusion surrounding the final points calculations delaying official confirmation of the title. Following a review of the championship standings, Harvey and Liddy were declared Pro champions by just one point, securing the title in their first season sharing the No. 24 Cypress Land Company McLaren.

Tanner Harvey: “Indianapolis was an emotional finish to the season. We took second overall in the Miami makeup race, third in Pro in the next race, and third overall and in class in the finale. Three podiums across three races were a credit to Patrick and everyone at Forte Racing for continuing to push with the championship on the line.

“The confusion over the points afterward was hugely frustrating and took away from what should have been a special moment for our team. We were confident in our calculations, but it wasn’t until about three hours later that we received confirmation we were right and had won the Pro championship. That was an incredible relief after everything we’d put into this season.

“I’m so proud to be the 2026 McLaren Trophy America Pro champions with Patrick. A huge thank you to Forte Racing, Cypress Land Company, McLaren, and everyone who supported us. This championship represents a full season of hard work from so many people, and I’m grateful to share it with them.”

For Liddy, the championship carried additional significance as the first of his racing career. The title also marked a memorable first full season alongside longtime friend Harvey, with the pairing combining consistent podium performances throughout the year to secure the championship.

Patrick Liddy: “What a wild end to our season here at Indy. We raced our hearts out and came away with the championship. It’s a special one for me because it’s my first ever! A huge thank you has to go out to all the people at Forte, especially Shane and Simon. It’s been a pleasure sharing the car with Tanner and the people at Cypress Land this year. We’ve been good friends for a long time, and we couldn’t have asked for a better first season driving together.”

No. 8 Sigma Plastics McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro) – Kaia Teo / Paul Holton

Although the Indianapolis finale did not produce the results they had hoped for, Teo and Holton completed a successful 2026 campaign in the No. 8 Sigma Plastics McLaren Artura Trophy Evo. Teo finished third in the Pro drivers’ championship after a season highlighted by competitive performances and podium finishes that kept her in championship contention heading into the final weekend.

Throughout the season, Teo continued to develop alongside experienced co-driver Holton, with the pair establishing themselves as a competitive force in the Pro category. Their accomplishments also played an important role in Forte Racing’s successful pursuit of the Team Championship.

Kaia Teo: “What an incredible season! Although Indianapolis didn’t quite go the way we had hoped, I think it’s important to appreciate everything we’ve accomplished this year. We’ve had so many amazing weekends and plenty to be proud of. Of course, it’s disappointing when things don’t go our way, especially at the final round, but that doesn’t take away from what has truly been an amazing season.

“To Shane and the entire Forte Racing team, thank you for everything. From the long days at the track to the countless hours preparing between rounds, everyone has put so much into making this season special. A huge congratulations to Forte on winning the Team Championship! It’s so well deserved and a testament to the dedication of everyone involved.

“I also want to thank Paul. I couldn’t have asked for a better teammate, and I’ve learned so much from him both on and off the track. To our sponsors, partners, my family and everyone who supported us this year, I’m incredibly grateful.

“This season has reminded me how lucky I am to do what I love with such amazing people. I’ve grown so much as a driver and as a person, and when I look back, I’ll remember the podiums, the lessons learned and, most importantly, the people who made it all so special. While I wish we could have ended on a higher note, I wouldn’t trade these experiences for anything. It’s been a year I’ll never forget!”

Holton shared Teo’s appreciation for the season, recognizing both her development and the collective effort behind the No. 8 program.

Paul Holton: “It’s been a great season with Kaia and the entire Forte Racing team. Indy wasn’t quite the finish we were hoping for, but that doesn’t take away from everything we accomplished this year. Kaia has made tremendous progress, and it’s been really rewarding to see her confidence and speed continue to grow. I’m incredibly thankful to everyone who worked so hard to give us a competitive car all season. We’ve built something really strong together, and I think there are even bigger things ahead.”

No. 53 Race for RP McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro-Am) – Neil Langberg / Kevin Madsen / Jon Miller

The No. 53 Race for RP program closed the season with one of its strongest weekends of the year, combining podium finishes with continued efforts to raise awareness for relapsing polychondritis and other autoimmune diseases.

Neil Langberg and Kevin Madsen earned a third-place Pro-Am finish in Thursday’s race, while Langberg also celebrated a victory in the Pro-Am Papaya Cup, giving the Race for RP program a double podium. Friday’s season finale saw Jon Miller step into the No. 53 alongside Madsen, with the pair charging through the field to finish second overall.

The weekend provided a fitting conclusion to a season in which the Race for RP program continued to demonstrate that success on track and its mission to support autoimmune disease research could go hand in hand.

Neil Langberg: “What a long, strange trip it was. Talk about saving the best for last, IMS was it. I knew that three races in three days would be a challenge, and the make-up race for Miami was it. I was charged with finishing into the bright sunset, and it was exhausting, but we found a way and survived. In Race 2, I started, and my entire stint was under a yellow flag… some of the most impressive laps I have ever done!! Then, with a driver change, Kevin came to my rescue, making his way from the back of the pack where I left him, all the way up to P3 in class, and the OGR (Old Guy Racer) picked up a P1 in Papaya Cup. DOUBLE Podium, a first.

“Finally, having spent what stamina I had, I stepped aside for the big dogs to finish the season/series, and do what they do best. They did not disappoint. Just like Road America, Kevin and Jon would dominate and finish strong in class and also overall. Kevin stayed clean and held a steady stint at P10, and then Jon took over. With the aid of a full course yellow, and a great restart, he charged up to P2. A weekend with lots of visibility for our cause… all good!

“As race car drivers, we also realize that even the tough parts of a race weekend pale in comparison to the nightmare our patients with RP endure on a 24/7 basis. This is why we race. Hope to see you at the tracks once again next year.”

For Madsen, the weekend’s results were especially meaningful as he shared the podium with Langberg in his final race before teaming with Miller for Friday’s overall runner-up finish.

Kevin Madsen: “What a way to close out the 2026 season! A huge thank you to everyone at Forte Racing and McLaren for their hard work, commitment, and dedication throughout the year. Guy, Brandon, Johnny, Simon, David, Shane, and so many others on the team put in countless hours to keep us on track and continually moving forward. It was incredibly rewarding to see those efforts recognized with podium finishes alongside Jon in Race 2 and Neil in Race 1.

“Watching Neil’s growth on the simulator and on track over the past couple of years has been truly inspiring. He’s living proof that age is just a number and that it’s never too late to start racing and improving. Sharing the podium with him in his final race created a special memory we’ll both cherish indefinitely.

“I’m proud of what we accomplished together and grateful that we are helping Race for RP reach a larger audience than ever before. What a fantastic way to finish out the season!”

Miller credited the team’s strategy and execution for Friday’s second-place overall finish, while recognizing the contributions of Langberg and the entire Race for RP organization throughout the season.

Jon Miller: “What a fantastic way to cap off the 2026 MTA season with Neil and Kevin on the Pro-Am podium on Thursday, and Neil taking the Papaya Cup victory, a double podium for the RP Motorsports team boss!

“For the season finale, I deputized for Neil in the racecar to drive with Kevin. Just before the race I had the special duty to drive hot laps for McLaren in the monstrously fast 750S, giving thrill rides to some of our Race for RP guests and other McLaren VIPs. That turned out to be a nice warmup for the race! Kevin did a great job in the first stint and Simon our engineer made a great call to box us early and get me out in clean air. We had a short yellow that bunched up the field and I was able to maximize on the restart, grabbing a few more positions and bring us across the line in P2 overall, a very satisfying and exciting end to the year.

“None of this would be possible without the trust and passion of Neil Langberg, his incredible wife Nancy and their tireless efforts to raise awareness and funding for Relapsing Polychondritis. Nancy suffers from this rare autoimmune disorder and a huge part of our mission at the track is to push for a cure, give hope to patients and support deeper research for this and other autoimmune diseases.

“The support that Forte Racing provides is essential and huge thanks to Shane and his group that have helped us build out this ‘team within a team’ at RPM by Forte these last two seasons. A huge congratulations to our sister cars the 100 of Cooper Broll and the 24 of Patrick and Tanner for the drivers’ championships and Forte for winning the overall Team Championship. It’s been a banner year and we can’t wait for 2027!”

Forte Team Management
Winning three championships in a single season represented a milestone for Forte Racing, which entered its second year of McLaren Trophy America competition determined to build on the experience and success of its inaugural campaign.

Across four entries competing in multiple categories, the team’s 2026 accomplishments reflected the combined efforts of its drivers, engineers, mechanics and management, with each program contributing to a season that concluded with the Pro, Am and Team Championships.

Shane Seneviratne, Team Owner: “At the beginning of this season, we set out with an incredible group of drivers and crew determined to compete for all five championships we were eligible to win. We knew it wouldn’t be easy, but through hard work, dedication and attention to every detail, we achieved something truly special.

“To win the Pro, Am and Team Championships in just our second season in McLaren Trophy America is one of the proudest accomplishments of my motorsports career. Tanner and Patrick fought for the Pro title right down to the final race, and Cooper put together an incredible season to secure the Am championship. Kaia and Paul were competitive throughout the year, with Kaia finishing third in Pro, and the No. 53 Race for RP program continued to deliver strong results while supporting a cause that means so much to everyone involved.

“Motorsports is about more than having the fastest car. It’s about the people, the preparation, the decisions we make and how we respond to challenges. Every driver, mechanic, engineer and team member played a part in making these championships possible. I’m incredibly proud of this entire team and grateful to everyone who believed in us and helped make this season such a success.”

David Cozart, Team Manager: “What a special and exciting final race weekend to close out the season! Congratulations to our Am Champion, Cooper Broll, and our Pro Champions, Tanner Harvey and Patrick Liddy, on a hard-fought season of outstanding racecraft. When this team came together at the beginning of the year, I knew we had an incredibly talented driver lineup and dedicated crew. Despite the challenges we faced, everyone worked hard, and we were able to bring home the Team Championship as well.

“I also want to recognize Neil Langberg, Kevin Madsen and Jon Miller for their tremendous efforts in the No. 53, along with Kaia Teo and Paul Holton, who had a fantastic season in the No. 8 despite some unfortunate circumstances. It was especially rewarding to watch our young drivers develop throughout the year, becoming smarter and more tactical with every race.

“Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Shane, Peter, Simon, Trish and our entire crew of more than 20 mechanics, data engineers, catering, tire and transport specialists. This was truly a team effort, and I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished together.”

Forte Racing now turns its attention to preparations for the 2027 McLaren Trophy America season, which will transition to IMSA sanctioning and feature a five-event, 10-race calendar alongside INDYCAR, Formula 1, IMSA and FIA World Endurance Championship events.

The 2027 season opens April 2-4 at Barber Motorsports Park, followed by the Miami Grand Prix April 30 – May 2, Watkins Glen International June 24-26, Virginia International Raceway August 20-22 and the season finale at Circuit of The Americas September 10-12.
