Harvey / Liddy Return to Victory Lane at Road America, Reclaim McLaren Trophy America Championship Lead

All Four Forte Entries Land on the Podium in Road America Doubleheader

Monrovia, Calif. (Wednesday, September 2, 2026) – Forte Racing closed out a successful weekend at Road America with an overall victory, six class podium finishes and the McLaren Trophy America Pro championship lead following two dramatically different races at the historic Wisconsin circuit.

Rain and changing track conditions created a challenging opening race Saturday, but Forte Racing placed three of its four entries on their respective class podiums. Cooper Broll added an AM class victory in the No. 100 PiedParker entry to strengthen his lead in the AM championship. Jon Miller, substituting for Neil Langberg alongside Kevin Madsen in the No. 53 Race for RP McLaren Trophy Evo, finished second in Pro, while Kaia Teo and Paul Holton brought the No. 8 Sigma Plastics entry home third in Pro.

Clear skies greeted the field Sunday, and Tanner Harvey and Patrick Liddy capitalized on the improved conditions with an overall victory in the No. 24 Cypress Land Company McLaren Trophy Evo. The win returned the pair to the top of the Pro championship standings with three races remaining. Teo and Holton earned their second third-place Pro finish of the weekend, Broll finished second in AM, and Langberg returned to the No. 53 alongside Madsen, scoring a second-place finish in the Pro-Am Papaya Cup.

No. 24 Cypress Land Company McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro) – Tanner Harvey / Patrick Liddy

Harvey and Liddy entered Sunday determined to rebound from a frustrating opening race. The No. 24 had shown competitive pace Saturday before an issue during the pit stop removed the pairing from podium contention.

Sunday proved to be a very different story. Liddy kept the No. 24 among the leaders during the opening stint before turning the car over to Harvey. Harvey moved into the overall lead with approximately 17 minutes remaining and stayed there through a late-race caution to secure the pair’s third Pro victory of the season.

The victory also moved Harvey and Liddy back into the championship lead heading into the season finale at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Tanner Harvey: “After a frustrating first race where technicalities and strategy didn’t fall our way, it felt incredible to come back and win overall. The driving was never the issue — Patrick and I both knew we had the pace. We started second, Patrick drove an unbelievable opening stint and built a strong lead, and when I got in the car, my job was to bring it home. I drove as hard as I possibly could, managed the gap, and kept us out front all the way to the checkered flag. To finish P1 overall at Road America, especially after everything that happened in Race 1, makes this one feel even better. I’m incredibly proud of Patrick, Forte Racing, and everyone involved. This was a statement win for us.”

Patrick Liddy: “What a great win today. Really happy to come away with the overall win after some bad luck yesterday, but that’s how racing goes. You get some highs and some lows. Tanner drove an amazing stint today. We put a lot of work in at the tests and over this week to try to get a fast car. We were pretty much there. We came into the pit stop second overall, first in class, and Tanner made the pass for the overall lead with about 15 minutes to go. So super happy with how he drove and grateful for the team and for a good car. Looking forward to Indy coming into those three races as the championship leaders.”

No. 8 Sigma Plastics McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro) – Kaia Teo / Paul Holton

Teo and Holton delivered one of Forte Racing’s most consistent performances of the weekend, earning third-place Pro finishes in both races.

Holton started Saturday’s rain-affected race from the front row and battled near the front before a Full Course Yellow complicated the pit sequence. Teo took over for the second half and brought the No. 8 home third in Pro despite a short pit-stop penalty.

Starting deeper in the field Sunday, Teo and Holton steadily worked their way forward. Teo gained positions throughout her opening stint before handing the car to Holton, who continued the charge to finish fourth overall and third in Pro. The back-to-back podiums kept Teo firmly in the championship fight heading to Indianapolis.

Kaia Teo: “I think it was a pretty solid weekend for us at Road America. We definitely had some challenges, especially with the weather and everything that happened in Saturday’s race, but we kept fighting and were able to come away with two P3 finishes in Pro. Paul did a great job all weekend, and the Forte team gave us a really strong car. I believe we’re second in the championship now, so we’re still very much in the fight. We have three races left at Indy, and we’re just going to keep pushing and hopefully finish the season with a win or a few.”

Paul Holton: “Overall, it was a pretty solid weekend for the No. 8. Saturday was tricky with the rain and the way the pit sequence played out, but we kept fighting and were able to come away with a podium. Sunday we had to work our way through the field, and Kaia did a great job putting us in a position where I could keep pushing forward. To finish third in Pro both days and come away with two podiums is a good result. I’m really proud of the effort from everyone at Forte Racing. Shane, David, Pete and the crew guys, Mike, Codey and Derek, all did a great job. I’m very thankful to be part of this team, and we’ll keep pushing when we get to Indy.”

No. 100 PiedParker McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Am) – Cooper Broll

Broll continued to strengthen his position in the AM championship with another strong points weekend at Road America.

The No. 100 PiedParker McLaren Trophy Evo came through the difficult Saturday conditions to claim the AM class victory. Broll followed that performance with a second-place class finish Sunday, giving him a win and a runner-up result from the weekend and adding valuable breathing room in the championship standings ahead of the final three races.

Cooper Broll: “Great weekend at Road America. Beyond happy with what we were able to accomplish, a win and a second place with some speed bumps was absolutely incredible. Forte gave me an incredible car to make it all happen, so thank you to all the crew there. With these points I was able to get some more breathing room in the championship, so I hope to continue strong through Indy and bring it home!”

No. 53 Race for RP McLaren Artura Trophy Evo (Pro-Am) – Neil Langberg / Kevin Madsen / Jon Miller

The No. 53 Race for RP entry produced podium results in both races while continuing to use the racing program as a platform to raise awareness for relapsing polychondritis and other autoimmune diseases.

With heavy rain creating difficult conditions Saturday, Miller stepped into the No. 53 alongside Madsen in place of Langberg. The pairing worked its way through the field to finish third overall and second in the Pro category.

Langberg returned to the cockpit Sunday alongside Madsen and completed another strong weekend for the Race for RP program with a second-place finish in the Pro-Am Papaya Cup.

The weekend also extended beyond the competition itself. The team welcomed Pam, who lives with relapsing polychondritis, and provided her and other guests an opportunity to experience the McLaren program firsthand, including hot laps around Road America.

Neil Langberg: “Like my co-driver and coach Kevin Madsen said, we were coming to cheese country this weekend to slice through the field and raise awareness for Race for RP. Little did we know that the first race would be in the rain. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my ‘inner Senna’ so my other coach and co-driver, Jon Miller, stepped in for me and that’s what these awesome guys did, slice through the field for a 3rd place overall finish. I love it when a plan comes together! Sunny weather on Sunday got me back in the car and with Kevin’s help I scored a 2nd place finish in the Papaya Cup for Pro-Am. We really like cheese. Good weekend for the No. 53 car at Road America. Looking forward to the final race weekend at Indy, in mid-October. Thanks to everyone at Forte Racing for helping us achieve our goals and raising more awareness for autoimmune diseases.”

Kevin Madsen: “What a weekend of results and purpose. The most important part of the weekend wasn’t just on track. Having Pam, who lives with RP, join us was a powerful reminder of exactly why we race. It was a privilege to give her and others a taste of what we love with some McLaren hot laps, and to spend time together away from the competition with her, Dave, Lisa and other friends. Great results, an even better reminder of the mission. We keep pushing, on track, for awareness, and for everyone affected by RP.”

Jon Miller: “Road America was a standout weekend for the No. 53 Race for RP Forte entry. Thank you to the boys at the shop who put in many hours getting our primary car back in tip-top shape after Road Atlanta. It was an honor and pleasure to deputize driving duties for Neil on Saturday, and wonderful to put the foundation on the overall podium with Kevin in the Pro class. Neil aka ‘Nigel’ has been putting in the prep work and it showed – with less practice than normal this weekend he rose to the occasion and fought hard in Sunday’s race. We move to Indy with confidence at an all-time high and look forward to driving awareness and accelerating research at The Brickyard.”

Forte Team Management

From a rain-soaked opening race to Sunday’s overall victory, the Road America weekend tested Forte Racing across changing conditions, strategy calls and four different championship campaigns. The team responded with podium finishes from every entry and leaves Wisconsin with Harvey and Liddy leading the Pro championship and Broll strengthening his position atop the AM standings.

Shane Seneviratne, Team Owner: “I’m extremely proud of the entire team and the way everyone responded this weekend. Saturday threw a lot at us with the weather and some difficult circumstances, but we still came away with strong results across all four cars. To come back Sunday, put the No. 24 on the top step overall and leave Road America leading the Pro championship is a great reward for all the work everyone has put into this program. We also had strong weekends from Kaia and Paul, Cooper continued to deliver in AM, and the No. 53 had two great results while continuing the important work they’re doing with Race for RP. Now our focus shifts to Indianapolis. There are three races left and a lot still on the line.”

David Cozart, Team Manager: “This was one of those weekends where the whole team had to stay focused and adapt. Saturday’s conditions made everything more complicated, from setup to strategy to pit stops, and the guys did a great job keeping all four cars in the fight. Kudos to engineering for nailing the set up to put the cars essentially on rails for the rain.

Sunday showed what this team is capable of when we put everything together. Tanner drove to his potential, so fun to watch, and Patrick executed a great race to get the overall win, and we had strong results throughout the lineup. We’ve put ourselves in a good position going into Indy, but with three races there, we know there’s still a lot of work ahead of us.”
Forte Racing will close out the 2026 McLaren Trophy America season at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, October 7-9, with three races on the schedule. In addition to the final two rounds of the championship, the weekend will include the make-up race from the Miami event, setting up a three-race finale at the famed Brickyard.
