FRANCK PERERA

Perera won his first racing championship in 1996 racing karts and went on to win multiple championships at all levels of competition including the 1998 & 1999 Karting World Junior & FA Championship.

The French native continued his success, becoming a member of the Toyota Young Drivers F1 Programme in 2001 and winning the Formula Renault 2000 Italia in 2003 before becoming a Formula One test driver in 2004 for Panasonic Toyota Racing and winning the Pole position in the Bahrein Grand Prix, 4th in F3 Euro, 5th in the Macau Grand Prix in the Formula 3 Euroseries and 2nd in Monaco GP2 GP.

Perera continued successfully racing in Europe before moving to the U.S. in 2007 to race with Condor Motorsports. He finished 2nd in the Atlantic Championship and won the Rookie Championship before moving to Indy Lights, IndyCar in 2008 and completing the last race of Champcar history P5. Perera also began competing in Superleague Formula A where he continued through 2010 with wins & podiums.

Top-five finishes was the norm in the various championships Perera drove between 2013 and 2017. Highlights from that time include the 2015 BMW by TDS ELMS champion, a 2016 2nd place finish at the 24 Hours of Spa, and the 2017 2nd place finish in both the Blancpain Endurance and Sprint Cups.

2018 saw Perera signed as a Factory Driver for Lamborghini and winning the prestigious Rolex 24 at Daytona, Lamborghini’s first endurance win. Perera also raced in the GT ADAC GT Masters Series between 2018 and 2022 having poles, wins and podiums through the years.

Perera was the 2023 Winner of DTM Oschersleben (first history win for Lamborghini in DTM). while also racing in GTW and IMSA endurance races.

2024 was a banner year for Perera. He won the pole of the 100th 24 Hours of Spa (history pole for Lamborghini), was the Vice Champion of GTW endurance, GTD Pro winner of IMSA’s Petit Le Mans, Winner of Nurburgring GTW, 3rd at Spa WEC (first history podium for Lamborghini in WEC), 3rd at DTM Norisring, 3rd at the IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring, and tested the Lmdh Lamborghini in Bahrein.
